So Many Questions

I have done the unthinkable. I have entered a writing contest. I have put myself out there. I can’t believe it. I entered the Romance Slam Jam Aspiring Authors Contest. There will actually be someone reading and judging my writing. How wild is that?

If that were not enough excitement in my quiet life, I have signed up for two pitch sessions where I have to verbally sell my book. I am literally going to be telling someone about Saul (hero) and Judah (heroine).

I have been recording myself pitching on camera, but I can’t get the camera into a position where I don’t look like I have ten chins.

Question: Is my face really that big?!

Speaking of cameras: My video camera is at the top of my computer. I have to look up so it appears I am looking into the eyes of the person to whom I am speaking, which feels weird.

Questions: What does one wear to a virtual pitch session? Is it like a first date? If I dress up too much, will I look desperate? If I dress too casually, will I seem indifferent?

I keep tripping over Saul’s name while recording my pitch. I may have to change it at some point.

I posted something for the first time on Instagram yesterday - just some pictures of my typewriters, but I got a few likes.

I went live with my author website today.

Question: Is it still called an author website before you get published?
